Two Brothers Take on an Industry Known for Broken Promises

The removals industry has long had a questionable reputation. Across the UK, homeowners commonly face damaged goods, delays, shady costs, and unreliable communication when hiring removal companies. With Labour's pledge to build 1.5 million homes by 2029 and stricter waste regulations, the demand for removal services is at an all-time high. Yet businesses still fail to meet basic customer expectations.

These issues created a gap in the market, which brothers Ethan (22) and Lucas Jury (21) spotted when launching Buff Removals, a Bristol-based company dedicated to raising the standards in the removal industry, guaranteeing muscles and smiles on every move. Their focus on reliability, respect, and professionalism offers a needed change to an industry criticised for poor service.

Buff Removals are also prioritising responsible disposal, with fly-tipping becoming a major concern in local communities, and incidents rising by 72 per cent over the past decade. The company advocates for proper sorting of waste and recycling, ensuring nothing goes to landfill unnecessarily.

Ethan Jury, Co-founder of Buff Removals, says, “Most people absolutely dread moving day, but it doesn’t have to be a nightmare. With the right team, a bit of humour and some muscles, we turn a stressful day into something you can enjoy. Beyond that, we want to inspire the next generation that success isn’t about flashy things or overnight fame; you can build a proper, honest business that can really make a difference in your local area.”
